RELAXED ALTERNATIVE MIDLANDS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

For laid back couples who dare to ditch tradition

WELCOME

No re-dos or traditional poses here.

Hi, I’m Laura an alternative midlands wedding photographer, imagine your wedding without a photographer. The day would just flow with no one directing, no pressure to smile for the camera, no weird wedding expectations. My job isn’t to stage your wedding day. It’s to document it. Just honest photographs of the people, chaos and atmosphere that make your day yours.

I’m 100% fueled by coffee.

I love documentary photography, photographing the everyday and seeing the beauty within it. I love weddings; wild and intimate. Seeing the connections between people, the little stories and random bits that happen in amongst the big loud wedding moments. That’s where the real story is. It’s less about single ‘perfect’ images and more about capturing the how it felt.

Love it.

What is documentary wedding photography?

It’s a storytelling approach to wedding photography. Instead of setting up shots or directing you into poses, your photographer captures your day exactly as it happens, the messy bits, the laughter, the tears, and everything in between.

You might also hear it called reportage style photography, alternative wedding photography, or simply candid wedding photos. Whatever the name, the goal is the same:

To tell your story honestly, without forcing it into something picture-perfect and posed.

You are UNIQUE.

Your love is UNIQUE.

Your wedding photos should reflect your unique love, not a staged version of it.

HOW TO CHOOSE AN ALTERNATIVE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Choosing a wedding photographer isn’t about ticking boxes or chasing a particular style, it’s about how you want your day to feel. Look for someone whose approach makes you feel comfortable, whose work shows real life and who you trust to be quietly present without taking over.

  • “Every time we look at them we can’t help but smile and remember just how much fun we had. I didn’t think it was possible to capture in photos just how much love, happiness and emotion was in the room.”
