Sherwood Glade Wedding
When Loren and Ryan asked me too shoot their forest wedding I was so excited. My very first visit to Sherwood Glade and it didn’t disappoint. A stunning venue hidden away in old woodlands just on the edge of Nottingham. Perfect for my style and approach as a Nottingham wedding photographer I was thrilled to get a chance to shoot here.
A WOODLAND WEDDING WITH BEAUTIFUL MOROCCAN STYLING, RAIN, SUNSHINE AND PARTYING.
The Details

Sherwood Glade
Secluded away in Sherwood Forest lies Nottingham’s finest woodland wedding venue.
Bacon sarnies and best friends, the getting ready at home excitement is real.
I spent the morning documenting Loren getting ready with her bridesmaids and family. Her sweet little pupper was by her side all morning, it was adorable. Loren’s dad was making bacon sarnies, what a guy! The morning vibe was definitely relaxed excitement and a little bit of nerves over the consistent rain we had all morning. They picked this date because it had been the hottest day the year before.
Woodland ceremony with bright colourful flowers and Moroccan-inspired details
They were so lucky to have sunshine in all the right places throughout the day. One of their main priorities besides the ceremony and food was to have all their friends and family in one place and Sherwood Glade is the perfect venue for that. I loved seeing these two tie the knot having met Loren when I photographed her brother’s wedding in a different part of Sherwood Forest.
A humanist ceremony in the woods
The ceremony was just gorgeous with the Moroccan decor and the woodland backdrop. They had a few special friends come up and give some heartfelt readings, along with singing and a lovely humanist led ceremony.
Sherwood Glade photos in the oldest part of the forest.
After the “I Do’s” I took them into the older part of the forest for some champagne and relaxed portraits. I gave Loren and Ryan plenty of space to chat and laugh and take in their amazing day so far, short and sweet but we got some lovely photos and they had a little reset together before going back into all the hype and excitement.
Walking into the reception to Still Dre (iconic)
Of many memorable parts of their day, one of the most memorable for me would have to be when Loren and Ryan walked into dinner to Dr Dre’s Still Dre – what a pair of legends! The weather had taken a turn in the afternoon so we decided to wait it out to do some family photos. I’m so glad we did, everyone was feeling pretty relaxed by the evening, the group photos were such a laugh, with a few lovely moments scattered in between. Family photos don’t always have this vibe, it’s never the part of the day anyone wants to do but those photos are priceless.
A woodland tipi party that did not disappoint.
When the band Can’t Stop The Feeling kicked in, the dance floor filled instantly. They brought serious energy and amazing sound and played loads of bangers – the dancefloor was packed all night.
I ADORED SHOOTING THIS WEDDING. LOREN, RYAN AND ALL YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR DAY AND TRUSTING ME TO CAPTURE THESE MOMENTS.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT X
